Cultural notes
Inari Okami is often depicted with multiple faces or hands to symbolize his ability to multiply and protect. The shrine also celebrates the annual Omiya Matsuri festival in April, which features traditional dances and music performed by local dancers dressed as Inari's fox spirits, known as kitsune.
