今井八幡神社

Imanizan Shinto Shrine, located in Odawara City, Kanagawa Prefecture, is dedicated to the god of fertility and prosperity, Inazumanokami. The shrine complex features a traditional Japanese architecture with a vermilion torii gate and a Five-Story Pagoda, dating back to the 14th century. Cultural notes

The shrine is famous for its beautiful cherry blossom trees and is often visited during the spring festival. According to legend, Inazumanokami appeared as a giant bamboo stalk in the swampy area where the shrine now stands, and the local people worshiped him with offerings of sake and rice.
