Cultural notes

In addition to its main deity, Asakura Shrine is also home to the enshrined spirits of Emperor Ingyo and Princess Ingyo, both from the Imperial Family of Japan, believed to bring blessings and good fortune. During cherry blossom viewing season (late March to early April), visitors often participate in traditional dances to celebrate this sacred moment.
