厳島神社

Ehime

Located on the island of Shikoku, Sukuna no Ie (厳島神社) is one of Japan's most famous and mysterious shrines, dedicated to the deity Sukuna no Okami. Founded in 1600 by Matsudaira Hirotada, a daimyo from the Tokugawa shogunate, this shrine is renowned for its unique architectural style and spiritual significance. As one of Shintoism's 'Three Holy Sites' alongside Ise and Yoshino, Sukuna no Ie is revered as a sacred place where prayers can be offered to ensure good luck and prosperity.
