Located in the heart of Akita Prefecture, Flyo no kami-sha, is a revered Shinto shrine dedicated to Susanoo-no-mikoto, a powerful storm god and one of the three most important kami in Japanese mythology. The shrine is nestled among serene forests and towering mountains, where the mythological origin story of Susanoo's birth took place. According to legend, Susanoo-no-mikoto was said to have been born from the primordial waters of the sea, before going on to create the earth and humans.
