三保神社

Tottori

Located in the town of Sumoto, Tottori Prefecture, Sanbutsu-jinja is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the three gods of prosperity and good fortune: Raijin (Thunder God), Kotoshogi (Blacksmith God), and Inari. The shrine's main hall was rebuilt in 1962, but the current structure retains much of its traditional charm.

Visitor tip

To fully appreciate the shrine's unique charm, visit during cherry blossom season (March-April) when the adjacent park is especially beautiful.

Sanbutsu-jinja is notable for its strong connections to agriculture and industry. The shrine's Raijin god is believed to bring good luck for farmers and craftsmen, while Inari is revered for his role in increasing rice yields.
