Ise Kuruwamashinsha Shrine is a Shinto shrine located in Yura, Shima, Mie Prefecture, but also has a branch in Awaji Island, Hyogo Prefecture, dedicated to the goddess Ise Kuruwamashi and her brother Kunisaburo. The shrine is famous for its beautiful garden and traditional architecture. The shrine's architecture reflects the Awaji style, with curved roofs and sliding doors.

Visitor tip

Cultural notes
Ise Kuruwamashi is considered the patron deity of fishermen and navigation. The shrine's garden features a number of unique features, including a stone lantern and a large cedar tree said to have healing properties.

The shrine was built in 1638 during the Edo period as a branch shrine dedicated to Ise Kuruwamashi.
