金刀比羅神社

Located in Hikone, Shiga Prefecture, Gold Sword Shrine is a Shinto shrine dedicated to Okuninushi no Kami, the god of medicine and fertility. The shrine's name is derived from the gold sword that is said to have been hung by Okuninushi on a tree during his travels. This symbol of strength and protection has remained at the shrine for centuries. The shrine complex features traditional Japanese architecture, including a torii gate and several wooden buildings. Visitors can see the iconic golden sword hanging in the main hall.
