横堤八幡宮

Located in Osaka's heart, the Yokota-yashima Hachiman Shrine is a historic Shinto site dedicated to the revered deity Hachiman, patron of samurai warriors and the wind god. The shrine was founded during the Nara period (710-794 CE) by Emperor Tenji, and its architecture reflects the Heian style. Visitors can explore the five-story pagoda and the large torii gate, while also experiencing the tranquil atmosphere of the surrounding park.

Cultural notes
