Located in the city of Omi, Shiga Prefecture, the Six Gates Shrine is a historic Shinto shrine dedicated to the god of fertility and agriculture, Susanoo-no-Mikoto. The shrine's architecture reflects its role as an important hub for trade and commerce during the Heian period. Visitors can explore the impressive five-story pagoda and traditional torii gate, which are said to have been built during the Edo period.

Visitor tip
