Cultural notes
Kinosaki-jinja Shrine is dedicated to Hachiman, the Shinto god of war and patron deity of the Minamoto clan, who played a significant role in the region's history. The shrine also has several minor kami enshrined, including Fujin (the god of wind) and Inari (the god of rice).
