Located in the city of Katskawa, Shizuoka Prefecture, Hatajyo Fudomyo Oku-no-In is a small shrine dedicated to the god Fudomyo, one of the six Bishamons who created the earth. The shrine's name, 'Hatajyo,' refers to the mountain where the deity was said to reside. Founded during the Heian period (794-1185 CE), the shrine has played an important role in local mythology and festivals.
