Aomori

Located in the northeastern prefecture of Aomori, Tsugaru Kashiyama-machi Moon Viewing Shrine is a small Shinto temple dedicated to the moon goddess Tsukiyomi, known as Tsuki-yo-me in Japanese. As one of the 20 most sacred sites of the Tsugaru region, it has been an important center for local spiritual practices since the Edo period. The shrine's architecture reflects the unique cultural and historical context of the area, with a distinctive wooden torii gate surrounded by a beautiful garden featuring cherry blossom trees.
