稲荷社

Ibaraki

The Tsukiyama Shinto shrine, also known as Ibaraki's稲荷社 (Inari Shrine), is a sacred site located in the heart of Ibaraki Prefecture. Dedicated to the Shinto goddess Inari Okami, this shrine has been an important place for worship and harvest blessings since its founding in 1185 during the Heian period. The shrine's distinctive architecture features six large torii gates forming the shape of a boat, said to represent a ceremonial procession on a rice-boat, while its sacred grounds are adorned with vibrant autumn foliage.
