Located in the city of Atami, Shizuoka Prefecture, Pool Temple Shrine is a Shinto temple dedicated to the god of the sea and fertility, Pooling (or Pool-ning), while also enshrining the deity of good fortune, Tamayamano Okami, as well as Yata no Kagami. The shrine is famous for its beautiful views of Suruga Bay and its historic sake brewery.

文化的背景
According to local legend, Pool Temple Shrine was built on the site where a fisherman named Tsunematsu prayed for good luck and fertility. After his prayer was answered, the deity, Tamayamano Okami, appeared to him in a vision and blessed the land.
歴史
The Pool Temple Shrine was originally built in the 17th century by the Tokugawa clan, who were patrons of the shrine.
