Located in the mountains of Shizuoka Prefecture, Daigoshinsho Shrine is dedicated to the Shinto deity, Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi, one of the three sacred swords said to have been wielded by the sun goddess Amaterasu. The shrine's name literally translates to 'Great Mountain Shrine'.
