Taska Hachiman Shrine, located in the town of Shimoda in Shizuoka Prefecture, is one of Japan's most famous and well-preserved shrines dedicated to the god of war Hachiman. Built during the Heian period, the shrine complex features a unique wooden torii gate and several historic buildings.
