歴史
The shrine is connected to the Ichijo family, a branch of the Fujiwara clan that established influence in Tosa Province (modern-day Kochi Prefecture) during the medieval period. The Ichijo clan ruled the western part of Tosa Province from their base in what is now Shimanto City.
