Godai Shrine, located in the town of Sakura, Chiba Prefecture, is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the kami Ototachibunareshi Hikoboshi. The shrine's main hall features a wooden structure with a tiled roof and is surrounded by a large stone wall. According to legend, Hikoboshi was a god who was separated from his wife by a river and later joined her in the afterlife. The shrine's festival, the Hikoboshi Festival, takes place on July 7th and features lanterns and food offerings for the spirits of lovers.
