熊野神社

Miyagi

Hokkaido's largest Shinto shrine, located in Sendai, was dedicated to Okuninushi-no-kami and later to the deity of the mountain where the shrine is built. The shrine has undergone several renovations since its founding in 1888, but its traditional architecture remains intact. The shrine complex features a large hall for ceremonies and festivals, as well as a sacred grove with historic trees. Visitors can experience the tranquil atmosphere and pay respects to Okuninushi-no-kami.
