Toyoda-ka Minamoto no Yoritomo Shrine is the main Shinto shrine of Toyoda, a city in Shizuoka Prefecture. Dedicated to Minamoto no Yoritomo, the founder of Kamakura shogunate, and various kami including Toyoda-machi okami , this shrine reflects the region's feudal history and its ties with the god of agriculture. The shrine's architecture is primarily from the Edo period.

This shrine is famous for its Toyoda Festival held in October, where visitors can watch traditional dances performed by teams of men dressed in colorful costumes. The festival also features a procession of floats carrying sacred objects and offerings to the kami.

歴史

The shrine was originally established as a minor shrine in the 12th century during Yoritomo's rule, but it gained importance after the Kamakura shogunate's collapse.
