The Hiyoshi Taisha Shrine is one of the most famous Shinto shrines in Japan, located in Kamakura City, Kanagawa Prefecture. The shrine is dedicated to Hachiman, the god of war and the patron deity of the Imperial Army, as well as several other kami. Its unique architecture features a distinctive tower-like structure called a 'torii' that marks the entrance to the shrine grounds.
