Tochigi

Ancient Kuremachi Shrine, located in the mountains of Tochigi Prefecture, is dedicated to Tamamo-no-Mae, a legendary oni (ogre) and a vengeful spirit. The shrine's current structure dates back to 1889, but its history predates that with roots tracing back to the Heian period. Visitors can honor the shrine's kami by leaving coins and making offerings for good luck and protection.
