高林神社

Gunma

Located in the city of Takasaki, Gunma Prefecture, Takasaki High Shrine is a Shinto shrine that has been worshiped since the Heian period (794-1185 CE). It is famous for its high walls and gates, with 15 gates in total. The shrine's main hall is dedicated to the sun goddess Amaterasu, while other shrines within the complex enshrine local kami, such as those of agriculture and prosperity.
