Located in the scenic town of Hakone, Suruga Bay, and Mt. Fuji's shadow, Shitennō-ji Temple's neighbor, Kappabashi-dōraku is not adjacent to this shrine but Kamakura period influences are evident at the Asamatsunomiya Shrine, also known as the浅間神社 (Asama Shrine), in Kanagawa Prefecture. Founded in 1884 and dedicated to the Shinto goddess of rice, fertility, and prosperity, Ōkuninushi no Kami, and more specifically the kami of Mt. Fuji, Fujin, and Raijin. The shrine is known for its beautiful cherry blossom trees and traditional architecture.
