Tsuruga-miya Hatsuharu Shrine is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the gods of the sea and the protector of fishermen in Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture. Founded in 1561 by Date Tsuneie as an alternative shrine to his main shrine in Sendai, it was relocated to its current site in 1632. The shrine is famous for its impressive vermilion torii gate, which stands at over 15 meters tall and is considered one of the tallest in Japan.
