文化的背景

Castle Mountain Shrine is said to be inhabited by the Emishi god of the mountain, Kageboshi. The shrine also hosts an annual festival, called the 'Yakimugi no Saisei,' in which visitors honor the kami and pray for good harvests and fertility.

歴史

The shrine was rebuilt in the late Heian period (8th-10th centuries) on the site of an older temple, with the primary purpose being to honor Mount Misen's kami.
