Tsushima Shrine is also connected to the mythology of the Sea God (Umi no Kami), who was said to have protected the island from invaders. The shrine's design reflects this connection, with a unique curved roofline that resembles waves. During the annual Tsushima Shrine Festival in August, visitors can participate in traditional games and activities inspired by the island's history.
