Located in Kinzan, a district of Kintsu City, in Chiba Prefecture, the Honji Sanzan Shrine is dedicated to three Shinto deities: Kamo-no-Musubi, Katsuura-no-Okami and Iwami-no-Katsumi. These kami are believed to be associated with fertility and prosperity. The shrine complex includes a hall of worship, altars, shrines for the three main deities, and a large vermilion torii gate. It is considered one of the oldest Shinto shrines in Japan.
