八幡神社

Gifu

Located in the city of Takayama, Gifu Prefecture, Eight Horses Temple Shrine is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the deity Hachiman, known as the god of war and patron of travelers. The shrine complex consists of two halls: the main hall housing the Hachiman's statue and a smaller shrine dedicated to the Kotoshi shrine, which houses the statue of the eight horses that are said to symbolize the eight virtues.
