市之瀬神社

Ishikawa

The city of Katsuyama in Ishikawa Prefecture is home to the Shinden-style City no Seki Shrine, dedicated to the sun goddess Amaterasu and the storm god Susanoo. Founded in the Nara period (around 710 CE), this shrine has been a significant cultural center for over 1,300 years. Its beautiful architecture blends traditional Japanese design with the influence of Chinese and Buddhist styles.
