Akakawa River, which flows through the town of Kusatsu in Gunma Prefecture, is said to be the place where the primary deity of Akakawa Jinja Shrine was enshrined. The shrine is famous for its beautiful autumn leaves and traditional Japanese architecture. It has been designated as a National Cultural Property since 1964.
