文化的背景

Daybreak Shrine is famous for its thousands of vermilion torii gates that form a tunnel leading up to the main shrine. According to Shinto mythology, each gate represents a wish or prayer made by devotees, and it's customary to tie a pink ribbon around the necks of deer, which are believed to be messengers of Inari.

歴史

The shrine was established during the Nara period (710-794 CE), making it one of the oldest shrines in Japan.
