文化的背景

Indra Shrine is associated with the legend of Susanoo-no-mikoto's love affair with the princess of the land of Uzume. The shrine's sacred trees are believed to be descendants of those planted by Susanoo himself, which makes them particularly revered for their spiritual significance.

歴史

The shrine's current structure was rebuilt in 1862 after a devastating earthquake struck the area in 1859.
