石清水八幡宮

文化的背景

The shrine is famous for its association with the legend of Urashima Taro, a fisherman who fell in love with a princess from the underwater palace of Ryujin. Benzaiten is said to have intervened on behalf of Urashima Taro, but ultimately led him to return to his mortal life.
