Resha-gi-jinja is a Shinto shrine located in the coastal town of Nihonmatsu, Ibaraki Prefecture. 文化的背景
As a coastal shrine, Resha-gi-jinja is often visited on New Year's (Oshogatsu) to pray for good luck and prosperity in the coming year. The shrine is also famous for its unique ' sun goddess' festival (Taiju no Kunitachi), which takes place in January.

Established in 1744 by the local daimyo, Date Terumasa.
