厳島宮

This shrine is dedicated to the three goddesses of Munakata - Ichikishimahime, Tagorihime, and Takitsuhime - who are revered as protectors of seafarers and deities of water and safe passage. As a branch shrine of the famous Itsukushima Shrine in Hiroshima, it maintains the spiritual tradition of venerating these powerful female kami who govern maritime safety and purification. Visitors come to pray for protection during travel, especially sea voyages, and to seek blessings for safe journeys and spiritual cleansing through the purifying power of water deities.
