上水子ノ氷川神社

Located in Fujisawa-shi, Saitama Prefecture, Ushirogahara-no-Iriki-gusa Shrine is a small Shinto shrine dedicated to the kami of Mount Fuji and its surrounding areas. The shrine's name, 'Ushirogahara-no-Iriki-gusa', roughly translates to 'The Snowy Valley of the Heavenly River'. It is said that in the 7th century, the Buddhist priest, En no Gyōja, visited the area and prayed for peace at this sacred site. The shrine's architecture is typical of a rural Shinto shrine, with a simple wooden torii gate and a rectangular shrine hall.
