白山神社

Located in the heart of Yamagata Prefecture, White Mountain Shrine is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the mountain god Bonten, as well as other deities including Sugawara-no-mikoto and Nakatomi-no-kami. The shrine's architecture reflects the traditional Zenshu-style temple design, with a striking red torii gate flanked by cedar trees. Visitors can walk through the tranquil forest paths to reach the shrine's main hall, where a large wooden statue of Bonten awaits.
