八幡宮

Chiba

Eight Horseshoe Shrine, located in the town of Katori in Chiba Prefecture, is one of Japan's most famous Shinto shrines. Dedicated to the storm god Susanoo-no-Mikoto and also enshrining the gods Inari Okami and Fujin Raijin, this shrine has been a significant site for worship since its founding in 683 CE by Prince Shotoku during the Asuka period.
