別宮八幡神社

Tokushima

Located in the scenic town of Yutendo, Awa Odori Shrine is a Shinto temple dedicated to the god Amaterasu, patron deity of the Imperial Family of Japan and Shintoism's most revered kami. The shrine was originally built in 1190 but has undergone numerous reconstructions and renovations throughout its history, particularly during the Meiji period (1868-1912).
