万刀美神社

Nagano

Mandagawa Shrine, located in Nagano Prefecture, is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the legendary swordsmith Murayama Shigenaga and his wife Oe-no-Tsuruhime. According to legend, Murayama Shigenaga forged the famous sword 'Tsukaharu' for Oe-no-Tsuruhime's husband, Prince Tamehito, during the 12th century Heian period. The shrine is notable for its beautiful gardens and traditional architecture.
