水門神社

Water Gate Shrine, located in Wakayama City, is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the Kami of the water gate. The shrine is said to have been built during the Heian period, and its name refers to the ancient gates that once guarded the entrance to the city. Today, visitors can still see the remains of these old gates at the shrine grounds.
