北星神社

Ibaraki

Located in the town of Nihonmatsu, northern Ibaraki Prefecture, the Kita-sei-jinsha Shrine is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the Northern Star (Kita-sei) deity. The shrine's architecture reflects the traditional Japanese style with tiled roofs and wooden pillars, characteristic of the Edo period. According to local legend, the shrine was built by the goddess Hihime no Okami in 1557.
