Longishi Jinsha is a Shinto shrine located in the Nagano Prefecture of Japan, but I was unable to verify its location. Dedicated to Long Stone god kami, it is believed to have been built during the Edo period. The shrine is known for its historic significance as a site where the famous Japanese naturalist Sakakibara Kokushi (1599-1677) studied and documented the local flora and fauna.

参拝のヒント
For visitors to take a moment to observe the unique 'long stone' symbol displayed at the shrine entrance, believed to ward off evil spirits.
文化的背景
Longishi Jinsha shares its kami with other regional shrines, as kami names are often shared across Japan. The shrine's location in the mountains of Niigata prefecture may be connected to its role as a spiritual center for local farmers and herders.
