Located in the city of Toyama, Konpirasha Shrine is one of Japan's most famous Shinto shrines dedicated to Benkei, a legendary samurai. According to legend, Benkei's spirit was transferred from his original shrine at Nikkō Tōshō-gū in Tochigi Prefecture.
