Ishidou-gongen Shrine in Tokushima Prefecture honors the spirit of Tokushima's founder, Ishida Mitsunari, who led a rebellion against the Tokugawa Shogunate in the late Edo period. The shrine is dedicated to the god of war and prosperity, Sugawara no Michizane, as well as other regional kami such as Inazuma-oki and Iwamatsu-no-kami.
