Fukiwara Jinja is a Shinto shrine located in the town of Kamitakai, Nagano Prefecture. The shrine is dedicated to the god of agriculture and fertility, Ryōgoku-tsurugi-hime (Ryogokuten), but is primarily known for its association with the legend of Fukiwara no Miyosuke, a samurai who was said to have been killed by his lord due to the interference of his wife, Fukiwara no En. The shrine's main hall is a beautiful example of traditional Japanese architecture and features a striking vermilion torii gate.
