三嶽山神社

Located in the heart of Akita Prefecture, Sanbutsu-sanja is a historic Shinto shrine dedicated to the three deities known as Sanbutsu. The shrine is nestled at the foot of Mount Sanbutsu, which is said to be the dwelling place of these three kami: Enma Daiō (God of Hell), Fūjin (Wind God) and Raijin (Thunder God). Visitors can explore the shrine's traditional wooden architecture and enjoy the scenic views of the surrounding mountains. The shrine is also famous for its beautiful cherry blossom trees.
