The Dengen-ji Temple, located in Akita Prefecture, is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the Shinto god of thunder and lightning, Raijin. The temple's name, "Dengen-ji", roughly translates to "Thunder God Shrine". The shrine is famous for its unique tower, which was built in 1605 during the Edo period.
